These are more fruits from my garden and my friends garden that the Lord has provided. It’s hard to fathom the wonder of it all. Creation in itself. Seeds that reproduce food year after year that also fuel us and support a healthy body. Who could have imagined that and created it so perfectly? Only God!
This reminds me of my recent study. Jesus is teaching us several things here as He preaches His sermon on the mountain. One truth is that when we focus on temporary worldly things, we will have anxiety, fear, and worry. But when we shift our focus to heaven and eternity, on His kingdom yet to come – – as we know He has already defeated death, we will have peace and joy.
“”Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’”
Matthew 6:25-26, 31 ESV
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 6:33-34 ESV
So ask the Lord to help you reflect and evaluate what you are focusing on. And also to give you His wisdom and strength to shift your focus to bring Him and eternity into your vision more frequently. With the intentions of Living For Eternity!
