Yet, during the building of The Tower of Babel when man was attempting to make a name for themselves, to have more power, and more wealth for the sake of pride and greed, God brought chaos.
The Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they have started to do, and now nothing which they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and there confuse their language so that they will not understand one another’s speech.” Genesis 11:6
Then we see also during Pentecost, when God ‘undid’ exactly that and everyone could understand each other though they knew only their own language. This was intentional to begin to build God’s church. The Church of Christians. Those who believe and put their trust and faith in Jesus Christ.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:4
And here we are once again today, we all have the ability to understand each other’s language. We have instant translations on our phones. And again, we definately are in a time a chaos!
Don’t let that chaos fool you. Don’t let the evil distract you to the point of not having faith, confidence, joy and peace that knowing Jesus brings. We must acknowledge that God is Sovereign. He is in control of absolutely everything. For if you do not believe that God is sovereign then you might be fooling yourselve about your eternal security.
Though we can not understand it with the level of detail we desire, God’s plan is at work. His will is being done here. And with that, we can have peace. We know the end of the story. We can rest in the assurance of our salvation and eternal life with Him regardless of what happens during our life time here on earth.
And remember. God is good ALL the time! He confused those people at the Tower of Babel to help them get back on track. God showed His love and compassion to redirect them away from the evil plots of men.
We must wonder–how is God showing His love and compassion during this time. Only God knows but we can choose to trust and live in His circle of peace. And be assured – He hears us! He hears our prayers–our crying out for help and his will.
